HOW TO SUBMIT EIF (ELECTRONIC IMPORT FORM)

Today I am showing you how to file EIF. Before knowing the procedure you need to know why EIF is necessary to file for all Import consignments. It is implemented from 1st September 2016 on all Import consignments due to stop illegal payments which causes huge economically loss to Pakistan. However SBP and Pakistan Customs jointly took great decision to implement it as quickly as possible. Initially Importers was quite irritated due to the lengthy procedures but after once everyone understand it was so easy to file this form before arrival of any consignment.
Following are the steps which you need to follow:
1- You have to submit EIF form before shipment arrival.
2- Once you have mentioned all the details, do not directly "Submit" the form.
3- Inform your bank to recheck if they found any mistake in I-Form or there is any details mention which is not as per your shipment terms.
4- Once bank checked all the contents then they will Submit the form for approval from SBP.
5- Approximately after 30 minutes the form will be approve by SBP and you may check the status will be changed now.
